Nova Gorica, Slovenia

Nova Gorica is situated in the far west of Slovenia on the Italian border. It lies between Karst, Mediterranian, and Alpine regions. The neighbouring town over the border is Gorizia, which is approximately 5 minutes walk from the centre of Nova Gorica. Passports for travelling between the two cities are no longer required since Slovenia is part of the European Union. Nova Gorica is well-known for its famous casinos, such as Perla. Northwards from Nova Gorica in the Soca Valley with one of Europe’s most beautiful rivers.
